Soap & Glory – The Righteous Butter

My boyfriend’s mum has kindly given me some amazing Soap&Glory products that I have seriously fallen in love with..

One of my favourites has to be The Righteous Butter, a body butter containing shea butter and aloe vera. After a shower or a bath this product leaves your skin feeling so soft you will wonder how your skin ever survived without it! I adore it’s girly scent and it is strong enough that you don’t need to wear perfume or any other scents after applying it. The one downside to this product is that it is undoubtedly a specific scent that you either love or hate. My mum and sister dislike the smell whereas my friends and I LOVE it 🙂 

Retailing at around 15 euro I think it is worth investing in, make sure to smell it before you purchase it though 🙂

Lovely Lips

So, I have a confession to make… up until last month, I had never bought a lipstick. I know right! Shocking stuff! I think I was always just intimidated by them, however silly that may sound! To be quite honest, all the different colours to me looked like a maze! How was I to know which one to pick???I think one morning I just woke up and thought “today is the day I’m gonna find me a lipstick!”…the rest, as they say… is history 🙂

I love this because it’s a nude lipstick with a lovely hint of pink!

016 Lasting Finish Rimmel Range “Heart Breaker”

I adore this colour because it’s a pinky shade of red, so it’s not too serious!! Also, it stays on for ages without needing a top-up which is always an added bonus.

I am so glad I decided to bite the bullet and just buy a few lipsticks. I have gotten loads of compliments while wearing these two shades so I think I’m doing well so far! Thanks for reading everyone!

GARNIER BODY LOTION REVIEW

Hey everyone! Here’s a quick review on one of the lotions from Garnier’s new body lotion range! Let me know if you have tried it already and how it worked for you!So, it was on the advice of another blogger that I decided to try out the new Intensive 7 Day Body Lotion by Garnier. I chose the Dry Skin version which contains mango oil. This product promised to make my skin feel intensely hydrated within 7 days. It also promised to renew my skin’s look and feel and give it a silky nourishing texture!

If you have read my March Empties post you will know that I already use Garnier’s 7 day hand cream which I LOVE. I was however, disappointed with this body lotion. Even though I read great reviews and comments about it I was very surprised when I used it myself. My skin really wasn’t as hydrated as the product claimed it would be and I found the runny texture of the lotion quite frustrating. Although I adored the smell of the lotion at the start (because it smells similar to sun cream!) I found myself being sickened by the smell after 4 days of using it, which kind of sucked!  Overall, I wasn’t very happy with this product.

Unfortunately I won’t be buying this product again as I really don’t think it is hydrating enough for dry skin.
